The 69th Republic Day is being celebrated across India on Friday with great enthusiasm. Indian President Ramnath Kubina took the salute from the military parade in Vijaychak, capital of Delhi. This was the first time as the chief guest, the head of the ten countries of the Asian group, which was present for the first time. These are Myanmar’s State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhammad Najib bin Tan Abdul Razzaq, Laos’s Prime Minister Dr. Thailand’s Prime Minister Nguyen Juan Fuk, Prime Minister of Thailand, Prime Minister Liu Hesen Lung, Cambodian Prime Minister Han Sen, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Brunei Prime Minister Darussalam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolikia Muizajdin Wadullah, Philippine President Rodrigo Duarte.

Indian Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and members of the Central Council of Ministers, BJP President Amit Shah and senior leaders of various political parties and honorable guests from abroad were present at the parade.

By this morning, the program started with the hoisting of the flag of Indian President by 10 o’clock in the morning. The army’s military parade was the center of attraction for Republic Day. Mainly showing the military power on the streets, the army of this country. Participated in the parade, the supersonic cruise missile ‘Brahmos missiles’. There was also a long-range missile display. It was added with the drill of soldiers and paramilitary force jawans. Apart from this, the cultural diversity of the country has emerged in this parade.

This parade of Republic Day is almost half an hour away. At the end, the program concluded with the national anthem. Earlier in the morning, the Indian Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyrs of the country with flowers in front of India Gate. The chief of the three forces (landforces, navy, air force), including the Defense Minister, was present.

In the face of militant attacks, the two lanes and neighborhood areas of the 8-kilometer long highway from the President building to the India Gate were tied insecurity. A few thousand members of Delhi Police and Central forces have been deployed. Along with the streets in security surveillance, thousands of CCTVs have been installed across the whole Delhi city. NSG commandos were deployed Indian air force carried out surveillance in the sky to prevent any kind of militant violence.

Republic Day is being celebrated in the capital as well as in other states of the country. The Republic Day Parade was started with the hoisting of National Flag of Reddox (Indira Gandhi Sarani) in Kolkata. West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripti took the salute to the parade. The parade that lasted around 10 am, lasted for more than an hour. The parade was attended by several state ministers, secretaries and government officials, including state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Besides, Republic Day is celebrated in strict security for each state including Tripura, Kerala, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Punjab.

The Indian High Commission and missions in different countries of the world including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, outside of India, are also being celebrated on this day. The BSF has decided not to distribute sweet as the exchange of relations with Pakistan at the border on the first Republic Day, media reports said.

Note that January 26 is a memorable day in the history of independent India. With the formation of the Constitution on this day of 1950, this country was declared as a republican state. Since then, this day is being celebrated every year as ‘Republic Day’.
