Heavy snow covered Kashmir

Because of heavy snowfall, India-controlled Kashmir has become isolated from all over India. Due to the snowfall due to snowfall, communication between the valley and the other parts of the country has almost become isolated with the valley. This heavy snowfall started on Friday afternoon, which was continued until today morning. The Meteorological Department officials told PTI that the number of heavy snowfall in the last few years has taken place.

At 10 o’clock in local time, 10-inch thick snow was recorded in Srinagar. Gulmarg, known as a ski resort north of Kashmir, recalls two feet thick snow. Kajigunda is 11 inches, three inches in Kokanag, 10 inches in Payhelgam and 17 inches thick in Kupwara.

A spokesman for traffic control room told PTI that the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was closed due to heavy snowfall. As well as other connection roads are closed. He also said traffic movement has been stopped at Mughal Road, Srinagar-Leh National Highway and Bandupora-Gueraj Road.

An official from Srinagar International Airport said that due to snowfall the sky was not clear, the flight was canceled at 9am. As far as the plane is in sight, it is not possible to navigate the plane.

Srinagar city’s temperature was 3 degrees below Humankh on Thursday night. From there it was somewhat higher on Monday night at 1.3 degrees below the freezing point.
