Bangladesh has achieved moral success by providing shelter to Rohingyas: Rushanara Ali

Rushanara Ali MP, Prime Minister of Bangladesh visiting Bangladesh, said that Bangladesh has achieved moral success by allowing minority Rohingya communities to enter the shelter and non-government organizations in Bangladesh.

Today, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the visiting British trade delegation leader Rushnara Ali said this while talking to State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam.

Describing the humanitarian crisis caused by Myanmar’s armed forces violence against minority Rohingya in Myanmar’s Rakhine state, Rushanara Ali said that this attitude of the Myanmar government on minority ethnic people is in no way acceptable.

In this context, he assures that the UK will definitely help and increase investment in Bangladesh. He and his delegation expressed interest to invest in the development of the railway sector, including the strong infrastructure.

He also proposed to take profitable export-oriented loans from British companies to implement the upcoming Megaprojects.

Regarding the visit of the Strategic Dialogue and Lord Ahmed of Wimbledon in March this year, Shahriar Alam said that bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom have been strengthened. It was said in the statement that British High Commissioner in Dhaka Alison Black was with the delegation.
