Chancellor Merkel again for the fourth time
Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party Christian Democrat Party (CDU) again won the majority in the general elections in Germany. And this is the fourth time the Chancellor is ‘Europe’s Leader’ Merkel.
On Sunday (September 24th) local time, voting started in the country at 6 pm till 6 pm. A total of 65 teams participated in the 19th general elections. About 6 crore 10 million voters have applied their rights in the country.
According to the rules, each voter gave two votes. The candidate of a parliamentary constituency, the other party. If a team in Germany does not get 5 percent of the total vote, the party can not represent the parliament (Bundestag). Bundestag’s direct election was held on Sunday in 299 seats out of total 598 seats. According to the percentage of the party’s polling percentage in the remaining 299 seats, it has been elected MP from different party candidates list.
Initially, Merkel’s party got 33 percent of the votes in the election result. And the rival SPD’s got 20-22 percent of the vote.
