The Commonwealth Summit begins, the Prime Minister has added
The two-day Commonwealth summit began on Thursday. Governments and state heads of 53 countries including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended it.
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II announces the inauguration of its conference at Buckingham Palace on Thursday at 10am local time in London. The theme of this year’s conference ‘Towards a Common Future’ Conference leaders will discuss cyber security, sea conservation and trade.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the 25th Commonwealth Summit on the invitation of British Prime Minister Teresa Mar He arrived at London’s Luton Airport on a special flight from Saudi Arabia at around 1pm on Monday to attend the summit.
In addition to participating in the inauguration and reception of Commonwealth heads of government on Thursday, the Commonwealth Secretary-General’s reception and Queen Elizabeth II’s dinner will be attended by the Prime Minister. Besides, there is also a meeting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on local time.
On Friday, he joined the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS), the reception and the birthday of the Queen on the day after taking part in the concluding executive session of the conference.
Besides, Sheikh Hasina will also take part in a reception organized by expatriate Bangladeshis. The Prime Minister is going to meet with heads of government of different countries.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to return home on 23 April.
