‘Indian Statement threatens peace’
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the Indian leadership’s recent remarks against Islamabad have threatened to establish peace in the region.
Khwaja Asif, in a written statement by the Senate High Court on Friday, said Islamabad wants to take all possible issues with India including Kashmir. However, he said the Kashmir crisis is a major barrier to establishing normal relations with India.
The Foreign Minister said that the agreement signed between Pakistan and India in 2015 was decided that the two countries will find a long-term solution through dialogue, but it is unfortunate that India never responded well to our call to establish a sincere relationship between the two neighbors. He also said that the incidents of human rights violations in India-controlled Kashmir have increased due to serious concerns. He said in the statement that India has violated ceasefire 170 times only in 2018.
