Microsoft is going to build a mini city.

On Tuesday, Microsoft announced the renovation of their main campus. In conjunction with public transportation, high-rise buildings and designated public spaces, Microsoft’s office will be converted into a mini-city.
Microsoft says, “At a time when space is very vulnerable and many companies are looking for a room to do business, then we acknowledge that our 500 acres in Redmond, Washington have a unique asset on campus. A vibrating urban core, suburb cities, lakes, hills and forest mile sanctuary, this is a valuable crown from Microsoft. We will continue business here and invest in Microsoft Redmond for more than 30 years to create the best workplace in the field of technology and technology. ”
This mini city will be expanded to 500 acres of campus. It is known that it will take five to seven years to build and 18 new buildings will be added. 150 million and 6.7 million square feet of rebuilding space will be taken to improve transport infrastructure.
In the development of 2203, a planned light rail link will be established. In the city, there will be a room of 12,000 people, hiking hill station, sports area, retail store. A pedestrian bridge will be arranged for bypassing freeways. 2 acres of open land will be included in this mini-city.
A significant component of the project is planning to build various underground parking garages with plans to fit the Microsoft campus on car-free, walking and bicycle. Facilities will also emphasize the “natural surroundings of the group”, promote natural lighting, open rooms and inventions.
It is known that through this mini-city, the overall Parkgate Sound Community will be benefited, including the City of Washington, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, and Everett.
Microsoft releases such a developmental plan through a blog. The Microsoft blog says,
“In the next step, we will break the soil on more than one year’s campus refreshing project, which includes 18 new buildings, 6.7 million square feet of reformable workspace, 150 million dollars for transportation infrastructure development, public space, sports field and green space. Today there are 125 buildings in the Microsoft Paget Sound region. When this project is completed, our main campus will consist of 131 buildings. Equal to modern workplaces for 47,000 employees, equivalent to 180 football fields in new and renewable places, who work every day. The room will be more room for extension, where more than 8000 people will be able to work. “
