North Korea ‘suspended’ missile and nuclear tests
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un suspended all missile tests and announced the closure of a nuclear test center.
According to a report by the country’s state news agency, on Saturday morning, a BBC report said.
It has been said that the same announcement came from Kim Jong Un, when North Korea was preparing for historic negotiations with South Korea and the United States.
According to Kim Jong Un, the North Korean state news agency said, “April 21 North Korea will stop testing nuclear tests and intercontinental ballistic missiles.”
Pyongyang’s nuclear capability is ‘proven’ and this type of testing is no longer necessary, the country’s leader Kim said.
After more than a decade, for the first time in the intercontinental conference, Kim Jong Un will meet with South Korean President Moon Zayn in the next week. Besides, he will also be meeting with US President Donald Trump in June.
The two countries were constantly pushing North Korea on the nuclear program, and seeing Kim Jong Un’s announcement to stop such activities, they are looking positive.
US President Donald Trump said in a tweet after Kim Jong Un’s announcement, “It is a very good news for North Korea and the world – a great advancement!”
