PM on way back home
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina departed Finland yesterday after a brief stopover there on way back home from the United Sates.
She was expected to arrive in Dhaka later in the night.
A VVIP chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the PM and her entourage members left Finnish capital Helsinki for Dhaka at 10:55am (local time), PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
The aircraft was scheduled touch down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:15pm yesterday.
Hasina had left Dhaka on September 17 to attend the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During her stay in New York from September 19 to 24, the premier addressed the UNGA general debate, attended high-level events and held bilateral talks with heads of government, states and organisations.
From New York, she travelled to Washington DC on September 25.
Hasina on Wednesday opened the newly constructed “Bangladesh House” in Maryland and planted a fringe tree on its premises.
