Rohingya crisis: United Nations meeting on emergency meeting

The United Nations has expressed concern over torture, torture, murder, and rape of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. The United Nations Security Council has called an emergency meeting to discuss the Rohingya crisis.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday. The United Nations Human Rights Organization head Rakhine Province called an emergency meeting only after warning of the issue of ethnic violence.

Thousands of Rohingya Muslims have fled their homes and homes to escape persecution in Rakhine. Nearly 3,000 Rohingyas fled to Myanmar and took shelter in Bangladesh.

The Myanmar government has deployed Rakhine troops on August 25 on several police check posts. After that, the violence began for the second time in Rakhine.

On Monday, United Nations Human Rights Commission chief Jed Rudd al-Hussein called upon Myanmar to withdraw ‘brutal military campaign’ in Rakhine. He cautioned that the operation of the country’s army targeting the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar is involved in ethnic cleansing.

Following the alert, the Security Council called an emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss the crisis. The Facto leader of the country, Aung San Suu Kyi, is being criticized worldwide due to its silent role in the Rohingya crisis. There is a lot of criticism about why this Nobel Peace Prize is not doing anything for Rohingya Muslims. Many have called this position a weak political strategy.
