Who will give us shelter?

In 1980, the country’s military junta refused to give citizenship to Rohingya. The United Nations says Rakhine’s minority Rohingya has tolerated rape, torture, gang rape.
Myanmar considers Rakhine victims as illegal Bangladeshi immigrants to Rohingyas. On August 25, 12 policemen were killed in an attack by police in Rakhine police station and Rohingya rebels in an army camp. Then the country’s army started a massive operation against the Rohingya rebels.
One thousand Rohingyas have been killed so far in the Army’s rigid operation, said the UN. UN refugee agency UNHCR says that after the start of the Rakhine military operation, about three hu
hundred Rohingyas fled to Bangladesh.
In October last year, Rakhine has taken shelter in Bangladesh since the same type of military operation, nearly 4.5 million Rohingyas took shelter in Bangladesh. Besides, thousands of Rohingyas are still trapped in the zero line of the two countries. Many people are living in shelter camps.
Suu Kyi spoke on 6 September for the first time in the international criticism of the Rakhine violence and Rohingya persecution in the international arena. The leader of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD), Myanmar’s ruling political party, opened its mouth on the Rohingya issue, saying, “Tension is triggered by spreading false information in the interests of terrorists.”
Burmese army’s assassination, rape, burning-pathways are needed for the assistance of Rohingya Muslims fleeing to Bangladesh, 7 million to 7 million US dollars. A UN release on Saturday said two lakh 90 thousand Rohingyas from Myanmar’s Rakhine were entering Bangladesh. Bangladesh needs 7.7 million dollars for emergency assistance for the Rohingyas.
United Nations Resident Coordinator Robert Watkins said, “For the new Rohingyas fleeing in Bangladesh, we need 60,000 new shelters, food, clean water and other services on an urgent basis. Experts for rape victims and women have become critical of mental health services.
